A few weeks ago, I purchased myself a copy of the PC game, FTL. IT was a cheap buy at around $10 (or around 4 weeks of saving on the old Geek on Three Bucks a Week budget).
Within short order I discovered it’s also one of the most fun games I’ve played all year.
But I had a tough time explaining why to some friends on a gaming forum – which made me think.
Given how prevalent Let’s Play videos and the like are on YouTube (heck, an old gaming mate of mine is doing commentaries of her Call of Duty matches), just how hard would it be to show them?
It took a bit of fiddling, mostly with a piece of software called HyperCam 2. I also used the Windows Movie Maker program to reduce the file size down, which may account for the rather low quality of the video.
But it was still an intriguing experiment, and the result is an FTL video review! I hope you enjoy!
